The Kansas City Chiefs are hurting right now.
They’re fresh off a heartbreaking loss in the Super Bowl, and some people believe their best days are now behind them.
Some of that has to do with the aging Travis Kelce, who has been a shell of himself over the past couple of years.
Nevertheless, the future first-ballot Hall of Famer may not agree with that narrative.
If anything, he’s feeling better than he’s felt in a very long time.
When asked about his future in the league and whether he was mulling retirement, the three-time Super Bowl champion shut down all that noise:
“It’s the last year on the contract, but I’m feeling young and ready to rock,” Kelce said, via Charles Goldman.

Kelce has been quite a busy man lately.
His relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift has propelled his fame to new heights, and he has been involved in multiple business endeavors.
Some fans believe he’s taken his focus away from the game because of that.
However, Kelce reportedly shed some light ahead of training camp, and judging by what he just said, he’s still in top shape.
The Chiefs will have plenty of mouths to feed on offense, so he may not get the big target share he used to have in his heyday.
Even so, having him be the same threat in the open field and the endzone will be crucial to this team’s success.
He’s clearly inching closer to the end of his career, but that doesn’t mean this is going to be his last rodeo.
At least, unless the Chiefs go out with a bang and win the whole thing again this season.
