"Man, I remember my first game as a rookie there in 1985, and I remember the last game that I was there, and all the games in between. Like, what a stadium, what a feeling it brings to the game, and the energy that stadium has. You walked in that stadium, and you just knew it was game time, and those fans were behind you 100%," shared Reed.
Reminiscing on the moments he played at Highmark Stadium, his favorite memory came to mind.
"The comeback game. That one is such a staple. It's always front in Bills' minds and fans' minds that were there in Buffalo at that game. The way it happened was crazy. Everybody that was there still tells stories about it. Half of the people left. Half of them came back in. They just stormed everything. It was crazy. But again, that just shows what kind of fans that we have there in Buffalo. They live and die with us," shared Reed.
Reed was a part of the comeback game on Jan. 3, 1993, against the Houston Oilers that Bills fans will remember forever. The Bills were down 25 at the half and came back in the third quarter and scored 28 points and another touchdown in the fourth quarter to beat the Houston Oilers 41–38.
Coming back into that same stadium and being able to hype up the Bills Mafia for a divisional round rematch against the Ravens, Reed believes it is what can help start the season off right.
"I think, out of any year, any opening game, this really sets the tone. It should set the tone for the Bills and the Ravens this season. This is a game both of them would love to win to start the season off right," shared Reed.
