LAS VEGAS — If you want to root for someone off the field when the Las Vegas Raiders open up the 2025 NFL season Sunday on the road against the New England Patriots, maybe consider the coach with a remarkable life story.
Deland McCullough is that coach.
The new assistant under new head coach Pete Carroll is the guy responsible for pushing the Raiders running backs to excellence. He's got his own story of being pushed as a young running back and it just so happens that it came from the most surprising of places and people.
McCullough details the surprising twists and turns in the new book Runs in the Family which was co-written by author and reporter Sarah Spain, in an incredible true story of football, fatherhood, and belonging.
