ALLEN PARK — Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown hasn’t made too many friends in Green Bay over the past few years.
The Lions’ top receiver has had some big moments on the field against the Packers since joining the league in 2021 and developed quite the back-and-forth with the NFC North rivals.
After St. Brown famously wore a sweatshirt that says “Green Bay sucks” to a game against the Packers at Lambeau Field last November, one Green Bay fan has made their own sweatshirt.
A green sweatshirt posted on social media earlier this week reads “(Expletive) Amon-Ra St. Brown” in yellow lettering across a picture of St. Brown.
When reporters showed St. Brown the image for the first time — which had already been reposted by his podcast’s X, formerly known as Twitter, account — he smiled and said “that’s beautiful.”
“I might need to cop one. I might need one,” St. Brown said. “Just don’t like the color but that’s beautiful.”
St. Brown has jabbed back and forth with Green Bay over the years, waving the fans goodbye after Detroit eliminated the Packers from playoff contention in 2023, having beer poured on him by fans while doing a Lambeau leap and last year standing on his head to celebrate a touchdown.
The Lions head back to Lambeau Field for their 2025 season opener, facing the Packers Sunday afternoon in a matchup CBS is billing as the “Game of the Week.”
St. Brown enters his fifth season as one of the top wide receivers in the league and sits 80 catches away from tying Michael Thomas’ record for most receptions through a player’s first five seasons in the NFL (510). The lowest mark for catches in a season for St. Brown was 90 as a rookie.
He’ll look to kick start his season with the Lions against a Packers team he’s totaled 47 catches for 481 yards and three touchdowns across eight career matchups.
With all the fun St. Brown has been having with the Packers faithful, we’ll have to wait and see if he has another dig prepared for Sunday.
