Report: Former King Trey Lyles signs overseas with Real Madrid

After spending the last three and a half seasons with the Sacramento Kings, forward Trey Lyles has found a new home overseas.

Drafted 12th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, the 29-year-old has played 10 NBA seasons, with his most time spent wearing royal purple.

According to Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews, Lyles has agreed to a deal with Real Madrid of the Spanish Basketball League and EuroLeague.

Lyles averaged 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per game over 69 appearances for the Kings in 2024-25.

He shot 42.0 percent from the field and 34.0 percent from three on 3.4 attempts per game.

Trey Lyles, a 10-year NBA veteran, is finalizing an agreement with EuroLeague powerhouse Real Madrid, sources confirm.

Lyles will join former NBA players Facundo Campazzo, Theo Maledon, Mario Hezonja, Chuma Okeke, Usman Garuba, Gabriel Deck, and Bruno Fernando on Real Madrid next season.

The Euroleague team has a history of success, securing the Spanish League Championship in 2024-25.

Now, Trey Lyles adds to the extensive list of former-NBA talents populating the highly competitive Euroleague.
