Liverpool did not make a move for Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers but would be open to a future market opportunity, the latest report has claimed.
The Reds ended the summer transfer window as Europe's leading spenders, with their expenditure exceeding £400m.
Alexander Isak was the club's crown jewel this summer given his signing for £125m means he is the Premier League's most expensive transfer ever, beating the £116m that the side agreed to pay Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz.
Despite the Merseysiders having significantly reinforced their squad, they had been linked with other players, including Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers.
The Daily Mail report that while Liverpool did not actively pursue the Englishman, they will be watching his development this season ahead of the next summer transfer window.

Morgan Rogers in profile: Is the Aston Villa star good enough for Arne Slot?
Rogers is capable of playing from the left of attack or as a number 10, and he excels when driving with the ball towards the final third.
The Villa man carried the ball into the final third 68 times in the Premier League in 2024-25, a figure that was not bettered by any Liverpool forward that campaign, with Mohamed Salah's tally of 59 carries the most of any Reds attacker.
In terms of productivity, Rogers scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in the top flight last term, but he failed to total more than eight goals and assists in any of his prior four campaigns, all of which were played in lower divisions.
It should be noted that the Villa forward only turned 23 in July, and it would not be surprising if he developed further as he approaches his prime.

Should Liverpool sign Rogers to help replace Mohamed Salah?
Salah was undoubtedly Liverpool's best player in 2024-25, scoring 29 times in the league while providing a further 18 assists.
The Egyptian is contracted to the Reds until the end of 2026-27, and considering he is 33 years old, Arne Slot will have to plan for life without his talisman.
Isak has scored more than 20 league goals in his last two top-flight seasons, and his output in the final third will likely mitigate the eventual loss of the winger.
Though Rogers would not be a direct replacement for Salah, his ability to drive at opposition defenders may help to replicate some of the Egyptian's impact.
Signing the Englishman could be risky considering the club will not want to block the pathway of teenager Rio Ngumoha, who scored the winner against Newcastle United on August 25, and perhaps Slot would be wise to avoid any high-profile additions in his position.
