The 2025 NFL season formally kicks off Thursday, as the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys, starting a weekend with all 32 teams' season-opening games.
And as is usually the case, dozens of former Michigan football players are set to take part in the 2025 NFL season.
As of Wednesday, 43 players were on NFL teams' active 53-man rosters, making up roughly 2.5 percent of NFL players, or one in 39.4 players. According to the NCAA, Michigan has the fourth-most players on NFL rosters, trailing only Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State.
Michigan's representation spans every position on the field — yes, even kicker, punter and long-snapper — and ranges from rookies to Pro Bowl players and top-five picks to undrafted players. In all, 26 of the league's 32 teams have a former Michigan player on their active roster.
Below, take a look at the Michigan players on NFL rosters to start the season, as well as former Wolverines on injured reserve and practice squads.
