Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb set a franchise record in the first half of the team’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.
Lamb notched the 500th reception of his career in his 82nd game, becoming the fastest player in franchise history to hit that mark.
Only four players in NFL history have needed fewer games to get to 500 catches — Michael Thomas (69), Cooper Kupp (79), Anquan Boldin (80) and Julio Jones (80).
Lamb is in his sixth NFL season and has four Pro Bowl selections and three straight All-Pro selections.
Lamb had four catches for 86 yards when the game was delayed by lightning in the third quarter.
