Jalen Carter was ejected Thursday night during the NFL season-opener between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.
Officials flagged the Eagles defensive lineman for unsportsmanlike conduct after he spit at Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, the host of “First Take,” was quick with a hot take moments after Carter was ejected.
“WTH did I just see?” he posted on X. “Jalen Carter — the Best Players on the Eagles defense — just got thrown out the game before a freakin snap for SPITTING….SPITTING on Dak Prescott.
“To Hell with just an ejection. Suspend that man. How in the HELL could you do something like that? Inexcusable! Stupid! Selfish!”
