Utah Jazz Read-along: It’s almost midnight, Keyonte George

Welcome, one and all, to a special edition of The Downbeat, here at SLC Dunk. I’m glad to see some familiar faces in the crowd (you know who you are), because today we’ll be reading a very important story about one of our favorite players on the Utah Jazz!

Those of you who are advanced readers have likely already figured out who we’re talking about: Keyonte George!

Now settle down, settle down. I’m very excited to read this, too, but before we begin, I’d like to share a bit about what makes this story so important to the Utah Jazz.

Now, I’m sure you’ve all heard the expression that, unless you’re Kawhi Leonard, money doesn’t grow on trees. This is a universal truth about life in our world. If you want to be rewarded — or get paid, in this case — you need to do some hard work for it! Working hard and becoming better is what life is all about!

For Keyonte George, getting better is going to be very important when it comes to getting a better salary and more success at his job, which is playing basketball with the Utah Jazz! Unfortunately, after several emails and a restraining order, Keyonte has declined an opportunity to join us for today’s read-along of It’s Almost Midnight, Keyonte George! It’s okay, he’s a very busy man, I already cried about it on the drive over here, and this book is still a few weeks away from topping the New York Times Bestseller list.

But this book has it all: danger, challenges, and a great reward at the end! Keyonte has plenty to prove to his bosses at the Jazz. He needs to score more efficiently, turn the ball over less often, play better defense, and show everyone how much he’s improved in this, his third year of NBA basketball. It’s a daunting task for our hero, but I think he just might have enough heart to get the job done!

Be warned: I’ve heard the illustrations within this book are so transcendent — so beautiful — that one can’t help but weep in quiet solitude at their majesty. I hope you brought a pack of tissues; tears very well may be shed during this presentation.

Let’s turn the page and begin our reading of: It’s Almost Midnight, Keyonte George! by yours truly.

It’s Almost Midnight, Keyonte George!

And that, dear audience, is the path to Keyonte’s breakout season in 2025-26. If he follows those steps to the letter, there’s no telling how far he — nay, the entire Utah Jazz organization — can soar. The sky is the limit for the dreamers who work hard to turn their vision into reality. Keyonte cannot miss his chance to shine.

If you’d like to pick up a copy of this work, I’ll be holding a signing event following this readalong. Our stock is limited, so please, only one copy per customer. I know you can’t wait to share this story with your children at bedtime, so you can get your own personal copy of the e-book by clicking this link here.
