Manchester United could be about to do some more transfer business with Barcelona, if some of the latest reports are to be believed.

United had a busy summer transfer window with several players leaving Old Trafford and five others being added to Ruben Amorim's squad. The Reds held talks with Barcelona during the window as they negotiated the loan deal for Marcus Rashford.

Even with the summer transfer window closed, it seems that United may still have some more transfer business to conduct with Barcelona in the not-too-distant future. This is due to the Reds reportedly wanting a player from the La Liga giants, and a member of Amorim's squad being a player of interest to Barca, too.

Fichajes have reported that Barcelona have expressed an interest in signing Lisandro Martinez from United. The Spanish giants are reportedly looking at a move for Martinez as they aim to strengthen their central defensive options, with manager Hansi Flick said to be an admirer of the United star.

Interest from Martinez comes as the Argentina international continues his recovery from an ACL injury which he suffered last season. Martinez is back in training and nearing a return to the matchday squad, but it remains to be seen if interest from Barcelona turns out to be genuine.

The reported interest in Martinez comes as United are linked with a move for Barcelona star Fermin Lopez. The Reds were mentioned as a potential destination for the 22-year-old, although Lopez recently admitted that he had no plans to leave the Camp Nou this summer despite interest from other clubs.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Lopez this summer, with United likely to face a battle for the playmaker in the future. What could give United the advantage, though, is the reported interest in Martinez from Barcelona and if that can help them try and sign Lopez if the rumours turn out to be accurate.
