Micah Parsons has only faced the Detroit Lions twice so far in his NFL career, but he’ll be meeting them much more frequently going forward, now that he’s with the Green Bay Packers.
The former Penn State Nittany Lions star is about to get introduced to the Packers’ NFC North rivalry with the Lions this coming Sunday, as Green Bay hosts Jared Goff and the reigning division champions at Lambeau Field.
On Thursday, Parsons talked a bit about the upcoming meeting with the Lions, saying that he “never liked Detroit.”

In two appearances against the Lions during his Dallas days, Parsons had recorded two sacks with 12 combined tackles.

Parsons’ take on the Lions has added some extra spice to Green Bay’s Week 1 assignment, with several fans on social media chiming in on it as well.
“Let’s go beat the lions Sunday 🧀🧀,”saida fan on X.
Another onesaid: “This was the least passionate and amped up i’ve ever seen Micah…it’s like he was half asleep doing this presser…this did not intimidate or upset us in the slightest, see you Sunda.y”
From acommenter: “Glad we’re on the same page.”
“The media likes to play up the Packers-Bears rivalry because it’s the oldest one in the NFL. But the Packers hate the Lions and Vikings more and it’s been that way for many years now.,” a social media userposted.
Via adifferent commenter: “Yep favorite player. We all hate Detroit.”
Said another: “A lot of you fans don’t seem to know how good Parsons is! You’re going to find out quick 🤷🏻♂️.”
