The 31-year-old is now in his ninth season with the Blues, and it appears he will end his legacy on Merseyside.

It will be a brilliant decision made by The Friedkin Group once completed, but it appears the owners have other talks in the pipeline as well.

Everton planning contracts for James Tarkowski and James Garner with Vitaliy Mykolenko also mentioned

Pickford is obviously the main one the Toffees wanted nailed down, but his current deal still has two years left.

But the move should signify that the owners are aiming to keep their key players for the long run, and they also have a plan for current players whose contracts expire next summer.

Journalist Dominic King has claimed that three more players will be due for future talks, as James Tarkowski and James Garner are the names mentioned alongside Vitaliy Mykolenko.

The Toffees are planning for their future, and key players are getting an early chance to commit themselves to the club.

But with Everton having seven contracts expire this summer, it leaves some other names having their future unclear.

Four players have their Everton future unanswered after contract update

With some players evidently in David Moyes’ project, it does leave a few question marks in the squad.

Four more faces see their contracts expire in June 2026: Idrissa Gana Gueye, Michael Keane, Nathan Patterson, and Seamus Coleman.

Gueye has an option for another year, so it could be his choice whether he wants to continue on with the club, but the other three certainly won’t know what their position is.

Keane only signed a one-year deal, so Moyes will have a choice with him, and Coleman will likely play his last season with the club, in a playing position at least.

As for Patterson, after Moyes tried to loan Patterson, it doesn’t appear that the right-back is in his thinking moving forward.
