West Ham United Women have confirmed that emerging midfielder Keira Flannery has moved to Charlton Athletic on loan for the duration of the 2025/26 Women’s Championship season.

Flannery, who signed her first professional contract with West Ham in January 2024 after progressing through the club’s academy, brings valuable WSL and Championship experience garnered through previous loans at Reading and Sunderland.

Reflecting on the move, Women’s team manager Rehanne Skinner said: “Keira has shown maturity and adaptability at each stage of her development, both in training and on loan.

"This opportunity at Charlton will give her essential regular minutes in a demanding environment, which is a critical step in her pathway.

"We believe this experience will help her continue to grow technically and tactically, and we look forward to welcoming her back with more confidence and determination.”

Flannery’s spell with Charlton is expected to provide her to gain further competitive experience and showcase her midfield work at a high level, gaining more pitch time than she would have with the women’s first team at West Ham this season.
