PHILADELPHIA (WVUE) - The Eagles’ wide receivers had a relatively quiet game in reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia’s 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Stars A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith combined for just 4 catches for 24 yards.

But Smith got all the attention before the game, showing up to Lincoln Financial Field in a tailored white pin-striped, double-breasted blazer on top of a navy suit and tie.

He also wore a large-brimmed hat with the names of his fiancée and daughter (Mya and Kyse Kali) embroidered on it.

The Amite, Louisiana native’s bold look drew many reactions online.

Speaking of bold, in the game’s broadcast player introductions, Smith introduced himself as being from his hometown of Amite, rather than the University of Alabama, where he was a Heisman winner and two-time National Champion, reminding the nation of his Tangipahoa Parish roots.

Saints on Sunday

Back in New Orleans on Sunday, former Kentwood High star Trey Palmer is set for his black and gold debut when the Saints host the Cardinals in the Caesars Superdome. Palmer and Smith, who played for Amite High, were inner-parish rivals who played both sides of the ball during the 2015 and 2016 LHSAA seasons.

The former Kentwood receiver, and one of the fastest track stars in Louisiana prep sports history, is seeking a fresh start with New Orleans, an hour and a half from his hometown.
