Man United listening to offers for struggling duo

Manchester United could hand a debut to Senne Lammens when they face rivals Manchester City next weekend.

The Red Devils have started the season slowly, picking up just four points from their first three games, and Ruben Amorim’s side therefore sit ninth in the Premier League table.

United left it late to defeat Burnley in their last outing, having previously been knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of League Two Grimsby Town.

One particular area of concern so far this season for Amorim has been the goalkeeping department, with both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana having made costly errors in the early weeks of the campaign.

Now, GiveMeSport claims that United are open to listening to offers for both Onana and Bayindir.

The duo have both made individual errors this season, costing United in both the Premier League and Carabao Cup.

Bayindir, 27, was at fault for Arsenal’s only goal as United lost against the Gunners on the opening weekend of the season, while Onana made an error that allowed Grimsby to score during the Mariners’ famous victory last month.

It is claimed that United are willing to allow one of the two goalkeepers to depart Old Trafford, with the transfer window still open for clubs in countries including Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The pair earned a combined £155,000-per-week but have both struggled since joining the Red Devils.

Onana joined from Inter Milan in 2023 and has since made several high profile errors, while Bayindir joined United from Besiktas later that year.

The Turkish ‘keeper has started all three of United’s league games so far this term, but the report suggests that new signing Lammens could be given the nod against City in the Manchester derby.
