Manchester City have just swooped for an ‘exceptional’ young midfielder who is part of the same agency as Kevin De Bruyne.
The Citizens have been making waves in the transfer market at both senior level and at youth level.
As important as it is to have a strong first-team, a big club like Manchester City must also focus on making their academy as strong as possible.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that City have finalised the signings of two highly-rated teenage players who will bolster the academy ranks.

Manchester City finalise Dexter Oliver and Freddie Lawrie signings
Romano took to X on Friday afternoon to report that City have finalised the signings of midfielders Dexter Oliver and Freddie Lawrie.
More Man City News
Oliver is set to join from Tottenham Hotspur, while Lawrie is linking up with City’s academy from Aston Villa.

City had been in discussions to sign Oliver and Lawrie for some time now, but according to Romano’s post, the deals are finally over the line.
Furthermore, there have been links between Man City and Liverpool gem Kaylum Moss.

What Dexter Oliver and Freddie Lawrie could bring to Manchester City
Oliver is a 16-year-old midfielder who can play at No. 8 and No. 10.
Earlier this year, he signed with Roc Nation Sports International, the agency owned by American rapper Jay Z.
RNSI clients include Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Martinelli and Vinicius Jr.
‘Oliver has been making waves with his exceptional skills and goal-scoring prowess,’ RNSI say of Oliver on his profile page.
‘His rapid rise through the club’s youth ranks has already positioned him as a player to watch.
‘An attacking midfielder, Dexter Oliver is equally adept at scoring goals as he is creating them.’
Lawrie is also a 16-year-old midfielder, though he is a more defensive-minded player who can also play at centre-back.
He was part of the Villa team that beat Man City 1-0 in last season’s U18 Premier League final to lift the title.
Lawrie has already been capped nine times for England’s Under-16s.
