Manchester United’s current transfer stance regarding four first-team players at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim has reportedly been influenced by one key thing.
Ruben Amorim welcomed the arrival of five new Manchester United summer signings before the transfer window slammed shut on Monday for Premier League clubs.
Matheus Cunha arrived from Wolves in June before Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo were landed in July amid a busy summer spending spree for Ineos at Old Trafford.
Joining Diego Leon, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha at the Red Devils was Benjamin Sesko, with United beating Newcastle in the race to sign him in August.
Following United’s signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, the Premier League club concluded their business on deadline day with the arrival of Senne Lammens.

The knock-on effect of one key event for four Man Utd players under Ruben Amorim in the 2025-26 Premier League season
Manchester United signed Belgian shot-stopper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on Monday, with the Red Devils agreeing to an initial fee of £18.1m plus add-ons.

Lammens has now become the fourth senior ‘keeper in the United first-team squad under Ruben Amorim in the 2025-26 Premier League season at Old Trafford.
United manager Amorim was in need of a new shot-stopper in the summer after the struggles of Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir at the start of the new campaign.
According to ESPN, United now hold a transfer stance that they are ‘comfortable’ with having Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Lammens and Tom Heaton all at the club.
The news outlet reports that a major reason behind United’s decision is driven ‘in part’ by losing Cameroon star Onana to the 2025 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Senne Lammens is now to fight for the Man Utd No 1 spot with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir
Andre Onana now faces a major uphill battle in trying to clinch the United No 1 spot after a deeply disappointing two seasons at Old Trafford since his 2023 move.
The 29-year-old could see Senne Lammens mark his presence even further at United if Cameroon boss Marc Brys calls him up for the Africa Cup of Nations in December.
Onana has been linked with a United exit and the former Ajax and Inter Milan star has even fallen down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim in the new season.
The United star missed the pre-season tour due to injury and former Sporting CP manager Amorim has preferred the error-prone Altay Bayindir ahead of him.
