Ahead of the 2025-26 regular season, Tyreek Hill opened up on being left out as a captain, stating that he doesn’t need a title to be able to lead the team. Despite all the drama from last season, Hill agreed to a contract extension with the Dolphins.

“Well, at the end of the day, I feel like it’s about the team. And I don’t need a title to be able to lead. I’m going to continue to push the standard. You know, what coach and these guys are pushing, and the locker room – and I’m – I’ve always been a guy that led by example,” Tyreek Hill said.

The wide receiver has a lot of challenges ahead and he must stay focused to help his team make it to the playoffs this season.

“I think people might have blown it out of proportion. We’ve worked on it and I think that conversation is dead now. I think once people see Tyreek’s score on Sunday, everyone will forget about that. We’re in a good spot and we’ve been in a good spot for some time as well, so I’m really happy with that and pleased with that,” Tagavailoa said.

“It’s still a work in progress. Not just for me, but for everybody. Like I said he’s working on himself, he’s working on the things that he says he wants to get better with and do better on,”Tagaviloa continued.

The QB put things to rest with Tyreek Hill as they look forward to a fresh start in the upcoming season. It’s been a rough ride for the Dolphis last year after winning only eight games and losing nine.
