David Moyes must be frustrated by Vitaliy Mykolenko’s injury, and a free agent is waiting to be signed at Everton.
Following a disappointing start to the season with injury, Mykolenko was someone getting back to full fitness as he played his first full 90 minutes versus Wolves.
But Everton might have rushed the Ukrainian back too quickly, as the left-back had an MRI scan, which confirmed another injury.
This means that the 26-year-old has had to return to Everton despite being on international duty with Ukraine.
It’s unknown what the severity is, but Mykolenko can’t get away from injuries at the moment, and Moyes might have to sign some much-needed competition.

Everton should look to sign former target Sergio Reguilon after Vitaliy Mykolenko injury
Moyes’ problems at full-back look like they’ll continue after the break, as right-back is already proving to be an issue.
It’s showing that Mykolenko can’t be relied upon at the moment, and the Toffees might have to consider a free agent deal.
Everton are tipped to sign a free agent, and former Tottenham and Man United left-back Sergio Reguilon is available.

This could come after Everton were interested in Reguilon, as the Spaniard can provide his Premier League experience, which the Blues know all too well.

Moyes can look to James Garner, who performed well at left-back vs Brighton, but the Toffees boss might prefer the 24-year-old in midfield, and Jamie Redknapp has explained how crucial Reguilon could be.
Jamie Redknapp thought Sergio Reguilon was ‘fantastic’ as he can offer a lot to Everton
Although he’s been out of action for the summer, the Spaniard has shown recently how he can be an attacking threat from left-back after loan spells at Brentford and Man United.

Still only 28, he’s shown his reliability after playing consistently at Tottenham, and Redknapp believed he was the real deal.
In February 2021, the pundit said to Sky Sports: “When he was playing, he was fantastic. He had great energy, was crossing the ball, good in one-on-one situations – he had it all.
“It’s no surprise that their performances have not been as good since he has not been playing. He offers so much to this team.”
Carlo Ancelotti wanted Reguilon as well, which gives a good idea of how good the former Real Madrid academy graduate could be at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
