This year's NBA2K26 rookie class has several prospects who have been rated higher than last year's incoming NBA stars, with six players either tied or rated higher than Zaccharie Risacher's NBA2K25 rookie rating of 75.
Cooper Flagg Leads the Pack with an 82 Rating
Despite not being able to top Spurs' Victor Wembanyama's rookie 2K rating of 84, Flagg is still rated at a strong 82. It's little surprise that the incoming Dallas Maverick has the highest rookie rating among this year's draft class based on his past resume of being named the Maine Gatorade Player of the Year, 2022 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year, and 2024 National High School Player of the Year and then at Duke being named ACC Rookie of the Year, ACC All-Defensive Team and National College Player of the Year.
Being the main focus at Duke, he averaged 19.2 points, but the question remains if he's able to have the same success due to a strong supporting Mavericks roster of Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis.
Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey Take the No. 2 and 3 Spots
Based on Dylan Harper's rating of 78, expectations are high for Harper to make an immediate impact as Wembanyama's new teammate and for the Spurs. Utah Jazz's Ace Bailey may have been picked number 5 in the NBA Draft, but he rounds out the top 3 with a rating of 77.
Top picks VJ Edgecombe, Kon Knueppel Earn 76 and 75 Ratings
Although being drafted as picks three and four in the NBA Draft, the 76ers' VJ Edgecombe and former Cooper Flagg teammate at Duke, Hornets Guard-Forward Kon Knueppel, are rated lower than Ace Bailey. Washington Wizards guard Tre Johnson also earned a rating of 75, followed by another Flagg teammate at Duke Khaman Maluach, who secured a 74 rating. New Orleans Pelican Jeremiah Fears achieved a rating of 73, followed by Brooklyn Nets' Egor Demin rated at 72, along with the Toronto Raptors' Collin Murray-Boyles.
