It has been a mixed start to the new season for Manchester United under head coach Ruben Amorim.
There were positives to take from match they still ultimately lost against Arsenal and they should have finished off Fulham to win at Craven Cottage. The Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town was a new low under the Portuguese head coach, but United showed spirit as they scrapped past Burnley last weekend.
United will hope to prove they have truly turned a corner when they face both Man City and Chelsea after the September international break and it will be fascinating to see how summer signings Senne Lammens and Benjamin Sesko are integrated into the side.
Here is a look at the United player ratings from the first four matches of the season, with a couple of standout performers despite the inconsistent results:
Onana only played against Grimsby Town and was awful. He was at fault for both goals and did little in the shootout.
