Each week during the 2025 season, different captains will be named heading into the matchup, which is something that coach Mike Macdonald started last year.
Here are the three captains for Week 1 of the 2025 season:
QB Sam Darnold
DE Leonard Williams
FB Brady Russell
Darnold will be making his first regular-season start as a Seahawk on Sunday. The only game action fans have seen the QB in was during the preseason when he orchestrated a 10 play, 81-yard touchdown drive against the Kansas City Chiefs.
