The Kansas City Chiefs kick off their 2025 season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil on Friday, September 5.
For Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, this marks his first game as an engaged man, as he proposed to Taylor Swift last month.
According to a recent report, Swift is planning to be in Brazil for the Week 1 showdown. Fans will keep an eye out for the 14-time Grammy winner and her eight-carat engagement ring at Corinthians Arena on Friday night.
During a press conference in São Paulo on Thursday, Kelce spoke about how his life has changed since proposing to Swift. “I got one more ring for it,” he said. “I would say ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun, it’s been exciting. Obviously, it’s a lot more eyes, and I accept that… but I’m living on a high.”
Travis Kelce Arrived For the Chiefs-Chargers Game In Style
At age 35, Kelce is entering the final year of his contract with the Chiefs. Therefore, it’s no surprise he dressed up for what could be his final season opener. Kelce was spotted getting on the team bus in a tailored black suit and dress shoes.
One fan posted, “wearing a suit that’s how you know he means business.” One X user gushed, “Hey Travis, looking good as always.”
Kelce, of course, has not confirmed that this will be his final season with the Chiefs. When asked if this will be “his last ride,” the 10-time Pro Bowler left the door open for a possible return next year.
“For who, for me?” he responded. “Man, it’s the last one on the contract right now, but I’ll tell you what: I’m feeling young and I’m feeling ready to rock, baby.”
During an episode of “New Heights” this offseason, the 6-foot-5 superstar promised to leave it all on the field. “I still think I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year… I feel like there’s a responsibility in me to play out the contract that I initially signed, to give Kansas City and the Chiefs organization everything that I got, and that’s what I’m gonna do, man.”

Whether or not this turns out to be a farewell tour for Kelce, he’ll have the support of his fiancée this season. Because she’s no longer traversing the globe on the “Eras Tour,” fans can expect Swift to be a regular at Arrowhead Stadium this season.
“Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season,” a source told People. “Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she’s not juggling a packed tour schedule.
“This fall will be completely different. It’s the first season where she’s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.” Now, she’s planning “to be at as many of his games as possible.”
