A key San Antonio Spurs star has incurred a major injury ahead of the team's training camp, in an offseason full of NBA surgeries.
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that guard Dylan Harper, the No. 2 pick in June's 2025 NBA Draft, partially tore a ligament in his left thumb during a Wednesday workout. He had surgery Friday to address the ailment.
Charania notes that San Antonio hopes Harper will be available for the club's Oct. 22 season opener against the Dallas Mavericks and No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg.
