Fantasy football owners must keep tabs on the latest injury news, and each Friday the NFL releases its official injury report for Sunday games. We’ll highlight the key injuries that could impact fantasy lineup decisions and sift through the noise to save you time.
Week 1 Quarterback Injury Report
QB Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers: Love (left thumb) fully practiced all week and is ready to roll for the home opener.
Week 1 Running Back Injury Report
RB Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: No injury this week should be more disconcerting than McCaffrey popping up on Thursday’s report with a calf issue that has him listed as questionable for Week 1. He was unable to practice Friday. Be sure to check on the inactives 90 minutes prior to kickoff Sunday’s 4:05 p.m. EST game.
RB De’Von Achane, Miami Dolphins: The coaching staff in South Beach took it easy on Achane (calf) as the summer practice activities wound to a close. He was removed from the report Friday after a full practice session.
RB Najee Harris, Los Angeles Chargers: An eye injury is of no longer a concern, and Harris will be available for the Friday Night Football tilt in Brazil.
RB Isaac Guerendo, San Francisco 49ers: Guerendo is a full-go after nursing a shoulder injury, and his availability could come in handy if McCaffrey cannot play, given how late in the process RB Brian Robinson Jr. joined the club.
RB Jordan James, San Francisco 49ers: A finger injury has the rookie ruled doubtful for his would-be NFL debut.
RB Jaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins: Wright (knee) has been ruled out, as expected.
RB Kalel Mullings, Tennessee Titans: The rookie appeared Friday as a limited participant and is questionable.
RB Roschon Johnson, Chicago Bears: The Texas product’s foot ailment prevented him from practicing the first two days of the week, and he’ll get an update Saturday for this Monday Night Football divisional battle.
RB Kyle Monangai, Chicago Bears: Check back Saturday for an update given this is a Monday nighter and Roschon Johnson (foot) also is on the injury report. Monangai (hamstring) was limited Thursday and Friday.
Week 1 Wide Receiver Injury Report
WR Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: The Cheetah was limited the first two practices of the week with oblique and calf issues, but he was upgraded to a full session on Friday and carries no injury tag.
WR Malik Nabers, New York Giants: The star wideout didn’t practice Friday, due to an ongoing back issue, but he avoided an injury designation and will start.
WR Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: As expected, Godwin (ankle) will not play in Week 1.
WR Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills: The second-year pro was upgraded from limited to full in practice and avoided an injury tag on Friday following a groin injury.
WR Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills: Buffalo did not give Shakir (ankle) an injury designation after fully practicing all week.
WR Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers: Consecutive limited sessions with a calf issue are behind him after a full practice session Friday. Jennings carries no injury status and will play after being rewarded with a reworked contract this week.
WR Isaac TeSlaa, Detroit Lions: The rookie was limited Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness but is not on the final report after fully practicing Friday.
WR Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers: Consecutive limited sessions to close out the week earned Reed (foot) a questionable designation. That combination typically warrants a game-time decision status. Green Bay also listed reserve WRs Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (hamstring) as questionable.
WR Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons: Mooney (shoulder) was limited all week and is questionable. He’s expected to a game-time decision.
WR Marvin Mims, Denver Broncos: The explosive wideout is good to go after practicing through a thigh issue all week.
WR Christian Kirk, Houston Texans: It didn’t take long for Kirk (hamstring) to miss action. He has been ruled out for Week 1.
WR Jordan Watkins, San Francisco 49ers: The rookie couldn’t advance beyond limited with an ankle injury and is listed as doubtful.
Week 1 Tight End Injury Report
TE Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens: Likely (foot) did not practice all week and has been ruled out.
TE Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: After a limited Wednesday session, Otton (groin) fully practiced the final two days and carries no injury label.
TE Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins: Waller (hip) couldn’t get onto the practice field all week and has been ruled out.
Week 1 Other Injuries of Note
PK Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills: Find a new kicker, because Bass (hip, groin) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. PK Matt Prater will replace him for this week, anyway.
LG Trevor Penning, New Orleans Saints: A toe injury has the versatile lineman set to miss Week 1, which could hamper Alvin Kamara’s upside.
LT Tristan Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The standout tackle was ruled out as he recovers from an offseason knee injury.
LT Ikem Ekwonu, Carolina Panthers: He’s listed as doubtful after an appendectomy.
LT Will Campbell, New England Patriots: The first-round rookie is questionable for Week 1.
RG Alijah Vera-Tucker, New York Jets: The veteran tore a triceps and has ruled out, as expected.
