Jimmy Butler has fired lighthearted shots at Buddy Hield since they became teammates on the Golden State Warriors, and Draymond Green has now joined in on the fun. Green had a hilarious reaction to a clip of Butler and Hield working out together on Threads.
"What a s****y workout… come on back to the west, Jimbo. You don’t like Buddy anyway."

That looks like a solid workout session, but don't let that get in the way of jokes. The vibes certainly seem great at the moment when it comes to the Warriors, and you could see that last season, too, with the kind of jabs that Butler and Hield were throwing at each other.
Hield called out Butler for having a "fake a**" triple-double against the Toronto Raptors in March, and the latter responded by roasting the former for not passing the ball enough. Then, after a win in Game 3 against the Houston Rockets in the playoffs, Butler praised everyone on the team, except Hield.
Hield would impress in Game 4 as well, and Butler begrudgingly praised him for the performance. He couldn't resist taking a jab even then, though, making it clear that his teammate stinks.
Butler would be the one on the receiving end of a shot after Game 7, as Hield stated he wasn't Robin anymore, but Alfred. For some context, the former Miami Heat star had been calling himself Robin and Stephen Curry the Batman of the Warriors.
Hield was the one who shone in that do-or-die game against the Rockets, though, with 33 points, and believed Butler no longer deserved the title of Robin. It was all just in good fun.
That series victory against the Rockets set up a clash with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Warriors went into that series on a high, but lost Curry to a hamstring injury in Game 1. They still managed to win that night, but lost the series in five games.
Would the Warriors have gone all the way had Curry stayed healthy? It's unlikely, but we'll never know for sure.
Green, who averaged 9.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in 2024-25, certainly is optimistic about the future. The 35-year-old boldly stated that the Warriors were going to win the championship next season after a workout with Butler.
As things stand, it's still not confirmed what the Warriors' roster is going to look like next season. Thanks to Jonathan Kuminga's future not yet being resolved, they are the only team that hasn't made a move yet this offseason.
The Warriors are expected to sign the likes of Al Horford, Gary Payton II, and De'Anthony Melton once they know what Kuminga decides to do. Even if he stays and they bring in the three players mentioned, you doubt if this team has what it takes to win the title.
The Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Denver Nuggets would still be the favorites in the Western Conference next season. You wouldn't back the Warriors to beat either of those three in a playoff series, but this is a team that has proved the doubters wrong on many occasions. So, it would be foolish to completely write them off.
