Statistical Breakdown On Bucs Offense Vs. Dixie Chicks Defense
September 6th, 2025
Bucs coach Todd Bowles.
Some cool advanced stats matchups between the Bucs and the Dixie Chicks as both teams kick off the 2025 season tomorrow.
When the Bucs have the ball, the biggest disparities appear to be passing efficiency and success rate. A successful play in NFL advanced stats is when an offense gains 40 percent of yards needed to convert on first down, 60 percent on second down and 100 percent on third or fourth down.
The Bucs were one of the best teams in success rate and the Dixie Chicks were one of the worst.
The Bucs offense handles the blitz well. The Dixie Chicks defense can’t blitz well.
Yes, yes, yes. Joe knows the Dixie Chicks loaded up on edge rushers in the draft. Still, unless a guy has the last name “Bosa,” seldom to rookie edge rushers make a dent with a team. It’s such a difficult position for a rookie to learn.
Joe honestly isn’t worried about the Bucs’ offense. It’s the defense that has to raise its game.
