It’s looking like Jordan Pickford is going to commit the rest of his career to playing for Everton, and he still has time to achieve an ambitious goal.
Pickford is in talks to extend his Everton deal so it takes him to the end of his career at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The goalkeeper is approaching ten years on Merseyside, and what better way to top it off than by confirming his future at the Blues..
His quality in between the sticks has arguably been the biggest strength for the Toffees, and David Moyes will know there isn’t a better keeper out there for the club.
Pickford’s happy to sign a contract, and it gives him even more time to achieve something special.

Now, from what Pickford has experienced in his nine seasons, the most part has been relegation battles.
But the England number one is clearly matching the ambition of what The Friedkin Group want to achieve, and his performances show that he deserves the role.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
His plan has been clear from the get-go, as in 2018, the Everton shot-stopper explained his goals for the long run.
“As a club, you want to be up there. We finished eighth last season, and that wasn’t such a good season for Everton,” Pickford said after signing a six-year deal with the club.
“We want to try and win some silverware, whether that be [the] League Cup, [the] FA Cup, whatever it’ll be and also I think we want to be finishing higher up in the table. It’ll take a lot of hard work, and that’s the work we’re willing to put in as a group of lads.
“We want to be top six, maybe top seven this season, and then going forward, we’ve got to be ambitious and want to be hitting the Champions League. It’s going to be a difficult road to get there, but it’s something we’d want as a club.”
Of course, the Blues haven’t managed this feat yet, but Pickford has played at his top level, and now, with the chance of playing European football rising, it could be the perfect time to make his goal come true.
Everton’s Jordan Pickford will have loved what James Tarkowski said last season
So far, this start of the season could prove that Everton have a chance to achieve what Pickford has been desiring.
It’s still early days, but it seems like everyone is aligned with the club’s ambition of competing in Europe once again.
James Tarkowski said Everton could emulate Nottingham Forest from last campaign after they qualified for Europe, having come from a relegation battle the season before.
Well, the Toffees could now be the side who do the same, and that could have been Pickford’s thinking ahead of talks for this remarkable deal.
It’s been made clear this season that Moyes is targeting Europe, and the Everton keeper will be in for the ride, as now is the best chance.
