”You never feel like you can switch off” – Leeds United star urges team to continue good form

A lot of people have had things to say about Leeds United and their start to the season. The Whites have played four games in all competitions so far, and the results have been mixed.

But overall, the outlook is very positive for upcoming games. Heading into the international break, Leeds have four points from a possible nine and are unbeaten at Elland Road. Daniel Farke will be no doubt pleased with the performances against Everton and Newcastle United.

Sean Longstaff was one of the club’s priority signings in the summer. Daniel Farke was a big fan of the player, and wanted his experience and dynamism in the middle of the park. The midfielder was fantastic in the game against Newcastle, showing the fans that he was worth the fee.

Longstaff believes that Leeds picking up two clean sheets in three games will be very important down the line this season.

“It’s massive,” said Longstaff about the two clean sheets.

“I think you look at the teams that have come up in previous years and they have probably gone about it a different way in terms of their style.

“It can get even better, there’s no doubt about that”

“They want to implement their style and probably forget about the most important thing which is not conceding goals because unless you do that you will never have a chance to win a game and we have done that really well so far.

“It can get even better, there’s no doubt about that, but I think as a start I think we have got to be pretty happy.”

The midfielder also urged his teammates to remain focused for upcoming games this season.

“It’s relentless.

“From the first minute until the very last, you never feel like you can switch off for a second because a good team can take advantage of that.”

Daniel Farke’s side are away to Fulham in the Premier League when they return from the international break.
