Juventus have identified Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva as a target for 2026, according to a report from Italy.
It’s been less than a week since the summer transfer window closed, but the Serie A side have started planning to try and reshape their squad for the future.
That’s at least what Juventibus, relayed by Calciomercato.it, are reporting, and they took to their YouTube channel to discuss the Manchester City star.
According to Juventibus, the 31-year-old is in the Turin club’s sights, and this would mainly be because of his contract, which expires at the end of this season.
Juve have not only set their sights on the Portugal international but have also started planning to try and sign him on a free transfer next summer. Their target list has a few other players who have entered their final year of contracts with their respective clubs.
Although the Old Lady are laying the groundwork to sign the attacking midfielder for free, it’s definitely too early to discuss the possibility of their success because Silva could sign an extension with Pep Guardiola’s side. If he doesn’t, there would be other clubs looking to acquire the former AS Monaco man.
Silva started in two league games and came off the bench in Manchester City’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur this season.
