Tom Brady has eyebrow-raising message for Aaron Rodgers ahead of first Steelers game

Tom Brady has reached the pinnacle of the NFL more often than any other quarterback in the league’s history. However, the future Hall of Famer has seen Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers many times over the years,

This year, Brady will have the chance to cover Rodgers as a broadcaster for the first time. After the failure with the New York Jets, Brady believes that Rodgers could be reinvigorated into his previous form.

“We all have to evolve and grow,” Brady said to Pro Football Focus. “Some of it is more mentally. How do we make the game a little more simple for ourselves so that we can execute faster? And then emotionally, how do we connect with our teammates and bring that competitive positive attitude to work every single day? And sometimes when you go through tough times like he did with the Jets, you know you get reinvigorated by going to another organization like the Steelers that has had so much consistency in their success and that could allow Aaron to achieve what he hopes to go out on the highest of possible notes.”

The Steelers offense has put their trust in Rodgers to lead them to a land they have not been since 2017 -- which is to win a playoff game.

“So I get to cover them and I am sure you get to cover them a little bit,” Brady said. “It would be my first time covering Aaron from a broadcaster and sitting up in the booth. I am really excited to see what he does this year.”

The former Packers and Jets quarterback is now two years out from a torn Achilles and has talked about feeling much better than he did a season ago.

Rodgers had 28 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in 2024. He went just 5-12 in his starts with the Jets, and even after they acquired Davante Adams, they went just 3-8. It was a tough season for Rodgers, who also had multiple leg injuries.
