The three highest-rated Arsenal players so far
After the first three games of the season, and in the first international break, we decided to find out which Arsenal players managed to get the season off to a flying start. These are the top three highest rated Gunners according to WhoScored.com…
3. Ben White – 7.27/10
The first one is a surprise as Ben White had a poor season last year for the Gunners. There were reports suggesting that Arsenal could have sold him in the summer, but they decided to keep hold of the English defender, and it seems a good move.
He started in the first game of the season against Man United, and was given a 7.27/10 rating, making him one of the star players in that game at Old Trafford. However, White didn’t start in the two subsequent games.
2. Bukayo Saka – 7.31/10
This comes as no surprise, Saka was Arsenal’s highest-rated player last year, and will be a crucial part of Arteta’s plans to win the league this year.
Saka has managed one goal in his first two games of the season, but he did go off during the Leeds game with a hamstring injury.
The England international could miss the Gunners’ next game against Nottingham Forest when they return from the international break, however, he isn’t expected to be out for a long time.
1. Jurrien Timber – 7.46/10
Timber has been Arsenal’s best player so far this season, he managed to score twice during the Gunners’ 5-0 win against Leeds.
He also recorded an assist in that game, making him the clear player of the match. He is the reason why White failed to start in the two games after the United win.
Timber was one of the Gunners’ most consistent players last season, and it seems as though Arteta can expect more of the same this year.
