Serie A giants Inter Milan were keen on signing 29-year-old Colombian international Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
According to an update by Alan Nixon, Daniel Munoz was the subject of interest from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window. The Serie A giants were keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a new right wing-back this past summer. So, the 29-year-old Crystal Palace wide player emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri.
Inter Milan attempted to launch a move for the South American full-back, submitting an enquiry to Crystal Palace. However, the South London club and Munoz turned down the Serie A outfit. The player is settled at Selhurst Park, and he did not want a summer departure.
Daniel Munoz and his exceptional rise in the Premier League
Daniel Munoz has established himself as one of the most underrated full-backs/wing-backs in the Premier League since joining Crystal Palace from KRC Genk in January 2024. The 29-year-old hit the ground running at the South London club, and he has become a pivotal figure for Oliver Glasner’s team in the last 18 months.
The Colombian international has made 68 appearances thus far for Crystal Palace while chipping in with six goals and 13 assists. Munoz has been integral to the South London club’s recent success, and his progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs.
A man in demand
While several European bigwigs have shown interest in Daniel Munoz, convincing Crystal Palace to part ways with him has been a tall order. Meanwhile, Inter Milan also pursued the former KRC Genk full-back’s signature in the summer transfer window, submitting an enquiry to Crystal Palace.
The Serie A giants were keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a right wing-back in the summer transfer window, as Cristian Chivu wanted an alternative to Denzel Dumfries on the right flank. So, Munoz emerged as a viable target for the Nerazzurri.
However, Crystal Palace’s stance on Munoz’s future remained unchanged, and the 29-year-old Colombian international also rejected Inter Milan. Munoz is settled and content at Selhurst Park, and he did not want to part ways with the South London club in the summer transfer window.
