How to watch Broncos vs. Titans: Time, odds, injuries and what to watch for

The long wait is finally over, Broncos Country. The orange and blue are finally back in action to kick off a 2025 season that has the highest expectations for the franchise in a decade. With some new faces on both sides of the ball along with another year for the players from last year to grow, this team has the potential to be a dark horse contender in the AFC.

In order for them to end up in contention for a conference title in January, the Broncos have to take care of the games they’re supposed to throughout the season, and Sunday’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans is the first one of those games.

The last time these foes faced off was in November 2022 when both sides had dark futures and weren’t producing much success on the field. Three years later, the Broncos are contenders in the AFC while the Titans are kicking off a new era with a talented young quarterback who the franchise hopes to have around for the long run. Tennessee leads the all-time series with a 25-18-1 record.

The Broncos have the best winning percentage in Week 1 home games in the NFL since 1970, at .771. The Ravens are the next-best team at .714. The orange and blue also hold the top spot for Week 1 winning percentage in all games, home or away, at .648.

Here’s everything you need to know about Sunday’s season opener.

INJURIES FOR BRONCOS VS. TITANS

Broncos

Inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw did not practice on Wednesday nor Thursday with a quad injury. Tight end Nate Adkins also did not practice as he’s still recovering from the minor ankle procedure he underwent. Defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (calf) and outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman (hamstring) were limited participants on Thursday.

Other Broncos on the injury report include Nik Bonitto, Marvin Mims Jr. and Alex Singleton. All three were full participants on Thursday.

The team will announce game statuses later on Friday.

Titans

Tennessee’s report is much cleaner than Denver’s heading into Week 1. Defensive backs L’Jarius Sneed (knee) and Kevin Winston Jr. (hamstring) were both limited on Wednesday and Thursday, while offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. (ankle) was a full participant Thursday after not practicing Wednesday.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR IN BRONCOS VS. TITANS

Can Cam Ward overcome the curse? He’s looking to become the first quarterback selected No. 1 overall pick to win their first NFL start on the road. In the common era, quarterbacks draft No. 1 have just a 4-15-1 record in the season opener, no matter if it’s at home or on the road.

The Broncos are aiming to have the league’s top defense, and doing so will start by not playing with their food. The Titans have a rookie –albeit very talented — quarterback who doesn’t have a plethora of weapons surrounding him. They have a good running back in Tony Pollard who eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark a season ago, but the orange and blue are returning most of the production from a run defense that ranked third in the NFL a season ago. The front seven will be the key Sunday, if they can stop the run on early downs and pressure Ward late, they should be able to make life much easier for Bo Nix and the offense on the other side of the ball.
