Arsenal are pushing against an effort from Beşiktaş to sign Leandro Trossard, with a ‘significant difference’ between the two clubs at this moment in time.
That’s according to journalist Secan Dikme, [via Sports Digitale](https://x.com/SportsDigitale/status/1964282999832531320), who reports that Trossard is open to the move if the two sides can find an agreement.
Trossard was expected to leave Arsenal this summer after they spent big on the likes of Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze, adding further competition to his position.
Instead, the Belgian ended up signing a new, revised contract with Arsenal that will keep him at the Emirates until 2027.
Arsenal have insisted that he is a firm part of their plans, and they have no intention of letting him go, despite the added competition for places in Mikel Arteta’s squad after a busy summer.
That’s not stopped interest in him, though, with several Turkish sides having shown an interest. The Super Lig transfer window doesn’t close until 11th September, so there is plenty of time for a deal to be done.
Beşiktaş are trying to make one happen, according to Dikme, but so far negotiations have not gone how they would like.
“There’s a significant difference between Beşiktaş’s offer for Leandro Trossard and Arsenal’s asking price,” he is quoted as saying.
“While the player is open to signing if the clubs reach an agreement, Arsenal considers Trossard one of their most valuable players. Beşiktaş’s search for a left-winger is still ongoing.”
