'Especially': Erling Haaland names the one thing he will really miss about Ederson at Man City

Ederson brought his eight-year career at Manchester City to an end this week.

Ederson has decided to move to Turkey to start a new chapter in his life with Fenerbahce, with the Brazilian being replaced by Gianluigi Donnarumma in Pep Guardiola’s squad, which will be a big change for the Man City manager.

The 32-year-old leaves the Manchester club having won every trophy possible, while also making 372 appearances for the Premier League giants, keeping 168 clean sheets and conceding 311 goals.

Ederson has admitted that he will return to Man City in the future to say goodbye to everyone, and one person he will need to make sure to meet up with is Erling Haaland, who has made his feelings about the goalkeeper clear on social media.

Erling Haaland admits he will miss Ederson’s assists

When it comes to assists by a goalkeeper in the Premier League, Ederson stands alone at the top of the chart with seven, two ahead of Paul Robinson.

The Brazilian is regarded as the goalkeeper with the greatest ball-playing skills the sport has ever seen, which is one of the reasons why Txiki Begiristain knew Ederson would be the perfect fit at Man City.

One man who will miss the 32-year-old’s distribution is Haaland, with the Norwegian superstar mentioning this in his goodbye post to the City legend.

“An absolute legend Ederson. Thank you for everything, especially the assists,” Haaland posted on his Instagram.

Ederson has teed up the likes of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Ilkay Gundogan and Omar Marmoush during his time at Man City, but Haaland is the player he has assisted the most.

How many times have Erling Haaland and Ederson linked up

Throughout their time together at Man City, Ederson and Haaland have combined for a total of three goals, which averages out at one every season the Norwegian has been at the Etihad Stadium.

The last came during the previous campaign when the Brazilian played a long ball up to his striker in the 3-1 win over Chelsea in January, before the 25-year-old chipped Robert Sanchez to make it 2-1.

It really is incredible that these numbers belong to a goalkeeper, as many defenders will never reach seven assists in their career.

This is what makes Ederson one of the greatest goalkeepers to ever play in the Premier League, and he is a player Man City fans will certainly miss.
