Man Utd have now agreed loan deal for £47m Red Devils star, player to decide

Manchester United have reached a loan agreement to part ways with one of their goalkeepers.

The Red Devils had a productive summer transfer window, and they concluded it with the purchase of Antwerp shot-stopper Senne Lammens.

Lammens’ arrival could now pave the way for Andre Onana’s exit. Fabrizio Romano claims that Trabszonspor have a loan agreement with Man United.

The final decision is now up to the Cameroon international, who turned down a move to Galatasaray before the British transfer window closed.

Onana moving to Trabzonspor would be a surprise

The 29-year-old has been a key player for the Red Devils since his £47 million move from Inter Milan during the summer of 2023.

However, his future has been under scrutiny for some period of time. Onana has made eight errors leading to goals in the last two years.

United have acted this summer with the acquisition of Lammens, who has terrific reflexes and has excelled with his short and long distribution.

The 23-year-old is also a specialist from the penalty spot and should be a superb signing for the club.

With Altay Bayindir having started the first three Premier League games this term, it is unsurprising that United are looking to offload Onana.

Still, we would be surprised if he chooses to join Trabzonspor on a season-long loan deal, having turned down Galatasaray a few days ago.

Onana said no to the reigning Turkish champions to stay and fight for his place at United. He would have been better off joining them over Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor have made good progress in the Super Lig over the years, and it remains to be seen whether Onana gives the green light to the loan move.
