talkSPORT understands United are waiting on Onana's decision after verbally agreeing a deal with Trabzonspor - with the Turkish transfer window open until September 12.
The Red Devils sealed the signing of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on Deadline Day, putting Onana's future at Old Trafford in doubt.
It pushes Onana further down the pecking order after he failed to start the first three Premier League games, with Ruben Amorim preferring Altay Bayindir.
