It’s been an unusual start to the season for Everton fans as David Moyes has brought back the feel-good factor.
Normally, Evertonians don’t enjoy the first month of the season, as the Blues aren’t used to having a winning formula.
But Everton’s new recruits have come together and helped the Blues cement themselves in a possible Champions League position.
Wayne Rooney expected Europe for Everton, and the former striker might be right, but it’s still very early days.
Despite it being early on, there are still many factors that can be taken, as three things have stood out under Moyes.

Three things spotted from Everton’s 2025/26 season so far
Everton look like a much more attacking threat with Jack Grealish
What has been lacking over the years in an Everton side is that quality in the final third, but Jack Grealish’s arrival has completely revolutionised this problem.
Everton have looked very un-Moyes-like in terms of not being more defensively sound and playing more free-flowing football, with the winger at the heart of it.

It’s refreshing to see the Toffees playing with more freedom and not panicking in front of goal, as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has also provided a creative outlet.
There is a platform to build on after the international break, and hopefully, the goals keep flowing.
David Moyes is not rushing young players like Thierno Barry and Tyler Dibling
Everyone around the club knows how good a man-manager Moyes actually is, and he’s showing that through his nurturing of Thierno Barry and Tyler Dibling.
Both players are young and raw, and although the Scotsman paid big money for the duo, they both need time to integrate into the lineup, and that’s what the Everton boss is doing with this hidden approach.
Thierno Barry 82 minutes played
Tyler Dibling 7 minutes played

Tyler Dibling could be ‘worth every penny’, but Moyes hasn’t thrown him into the deep end, and you’d expect the winger to start games soon.
As for Barry, the Scotsman has the system to switch between Beto up front, which will help the Frenchman learn and only get better.
Everton have one of the worst conceded xG’s so far this season
Although it’s been a largely positive season so far, it can’t be forgotten that there is one glaring worry in Moyes’ regime.
It’s brilliant to see more attacking intent, but on the flip side of that, the Blues are conceding a lot more shots, leaving Jordan Pickford with a difficult task on his hands, and Everton have been lucky not to concede more than their three so far.
Burnley 6.7
Wolves 5.7
Everton 5.7
Fulham 5.5
Aston Villa 5.3

The Merseyside club have had defensive injuries, which could explain this, but Moyes needs to strike a balance in defending well whilst still being a threat in the final third.
Overall though, Everton have looked the best of the rest, and there is certainly momentum to be picked up after the break.
