The European transfer window may be closed, but there is still a possibility for several Manchester United players to leave the club before the end of the month.
Premier League clubs spent more than ever before in the summer transfer window.
Over £3 billion was spent in total by Premier League clubs, while the previous record of £2.36 billion was spent during the 2023 summer window.
United were the fifth biggest spenders in the top flight, with £216m spent on five new players. They include Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon, Bryan Mebumo, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens.
That means the European transfer window shut with United’s net spend was calculated at £148m.
However, there is still time for players to leave Old Trafford as several countries still have their transfer windows open.
The Turkish window doesn’t shut until September 11, while the Greek window runs until the following day.
Meanwhile, Portuguese clubs can sign players until September 15, and the Saudi Pro League’s window shuts eight days later on the 23rd.

Which Man Utd players could be on the way out?
Ineos worked hard to get rid of players deemed surplus to requirements this summer.
That applies to players like Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, who have all moved away from Old Trafford after it was made clear they were not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans.
Some players that were linked with moves during the summer remain at United, but they could still leave if the right offer arrives this month.
After a poor start to the season, a few United players are left in limbo.
Here, United In Focus examines which United players could jump ship now rather than compete for their place in the team.
Andre Onana
After spending two seasons as United’s first-choice goalkeeper, Andre Onana has appeared to have fallen down the pecking order under Amorim.
Onana has been limited to just one appearance for United this season, after starting in the Carabao Cup defeat against League Two side Grimsby Town.
The Cameroon international has been overlooked for the first three league games of the season, with the arrival of Lammens likely to cast more doubt over his future in the team.
Galatasaray have opened talks for Onana following Ederson’s switch to Fenerbahce from Man City, but nothing has been decided yet.
Onana will be eyeing a call-up to the Cameroon squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, which takes place from December 21 to January 18, before next summer’s World Cup.
Altay Bayindir
Despite starting the first three league games of the season, Altay Bayindir could be relegated to the bench again following Lammens’ arrival.
The Turkey international won’t become the first-choice goalkeeper for his national team if he remains a back-up option, so he could look to move in search of regular football.
Bayindir was at fault for Riccardo Calafiori’s winner for Arsenal on the opening day of the season, before committing another blunder in the 3-2 win over Burnley last week.
A move back to Turkey could be on the cards for Bayindir, which means Tom Heaton and Lammens are the only goalkeepers safe.
Tyrell Malacia
Netherlands international Tyrell Malacia was among a list of players told to train away from United’s first team this summer.
The others have since left Old Trafford, but Malacia remains available.
Elche opened talks with Malacia in the closing days of the European market, but a move collapsed before deadline day.
Injuries have hindered Malacia’s development since moving to United from Feyenoord. He has made just 47 appearances across his three-year stint at Old Trafford.
The arrival of Leon only pushes Malacia further down the pecking order at left wing-back.
