Manchester United have reached an agreement to send calamity keeper Andre Onana on loan to Turkey for the season.
United have struck a deal with Trabzonspor to part ways with the £47million Cameroon international stopper on a temporary basis - but are waiting for Onana to say yes to the move.
While the Premier League transfer window closed on September 1, it remains open in Turkey until September 12. The 29-year-old, who has a contract until 2028 at Old Trafford, is in talks over personal terms before potentially flying out to undergo a medical.
United's decision to agree a loan deal, particularly after recruiting £18.2m deadline day signing Senne Lammens, leaves Onana in no uncertain terms how far his stock has fallen at United.
He has not made a Premier League appearance so far this season, with Altay Bayindir preferred, while Onana had a nightmare against Grimsby in the Carabao Cup - prompting club chiefs to push through with the move for Belgian stopper Lammens.

Lammens, 23, is now increasingly likely to be thrust into the heat of the Manchester derby next weekend for his Red Devils debut.
By that point, Onana may well find himself in Turkey, having become the latest player jettisoned by Ruben Amorim.
In the wake of the defeat to Grimsby, it emerged senior players at Old Trafford saw the 2-2 draw and subsequent 12-11 penalty shootout loss as their worst result yet.
Insiders from the dressing room revealed that despite suffering 5-0 and 7-0 home and away defeats to Liverpool in the last four years, and seven 4-0 thrashings since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, the players admitted being knocked out by the League Two outfit marked a new low.
Senior stars were also said to be growing "uneasy" about the club's goalkeeping situation, as Bayindir made a costly mistake in United's opening Premier League loss to Arsenal, while Onana was at fault for both of Grimsby's goals.
