Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver urges Chiefs to sign him

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Allen Robinson took to X last night to urge the Kansas City Chiefs to sign him after Xavier Worthy’s injury.

Robinson was with the Detroit Lions last year but has yet to find a new team for this season. So, he is making his push to land with the Chiefs.

“No [cap], Chiefs, I’m a free agent, I swear I could help yall,“ Robinson said.

Robinson played for the Steelers in 2023 and was the team’s primary slot wide receiver. He had 34 receptions for 280 yards with the Steelers. Pittsburgh used him more as a blocker than they did as a receiver for much of the year, leading to Robinson having some of his career-low stats.

Over his career, Robinson has spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Steelers, New York Giants, and now the Lions. The Giants cut Robinson after the preseason in 2024, allowing the Lions to scoop him up.

However, no team has put him on their roster this season, though Robinson still believes he has enough juice left in the tank to produce.
