Trabzonspor have reached a verbal agreement with Manchester United to sign André Onana on loan, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
However, his exit is yet to be sealed, with Onana holding the final word on his future, whether he wants to leave or stay.
Despite the transfer market already closing in Europe on Monday, movements around Turkey can still occur, as the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 12.
Onana joined Manchester United from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 on a five-year contract.
His two-year stay at Old Trafford has been plagued with various errors that have piled the pressure on his starting place in the club.
The 29-year-old has not appeared for the Red Devils in the Premier League this campaign, with manager Ruben Amorim opting to play Altay Bayindir in goal for all three of United’s opening PL games of the season.
His last outing for the club was in the Red Devils’ disastrous Carabao Cup exit to League Two club Grimsby Town.
Onana has made 102 appearances for United, conceded 150 goals and kept 24 clean sheets for the English outfit.
The Cameroonian was initially going to stay in Manchester and compete for his spot, but the arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp has put his position at risk, and he may commit his future elsewhere.
