Las Vegas Raiders visit Mountain View Elementary

Lydia Snow

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, representatives from the Las Vegas Raiders, including Senior Director of Football Development Myles Hayes, visited Mountain View Elementary. Partnering with the American Heart Association, they hosted a training camp for students and teachers, including quarterback, running back, wide receiver and defense drills.

Mountain View Elementary won a $10,000 grant from the NFL and the American Heart Association last year, which covers a gym makeover with a new rock climbing wall. They also received $5,000 of equipment from the Raiders.

They are one of 69 schools around the US awarded wellness grants from the American Heart Association for the “Kids Heart Challenge.”
