SAO PAULO (KLTV) - Former Whitehouse Wildcat Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown pass and ran for another touchdown in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The 29-year old completed a pass to seven different receivers.
Mahomes finished 24-of-39 for 258 yards and a touchdown through the air, while rushing for 57 yards on six carries and scoring on the ground as well. In the third quarter, with the Chiefs trailing 13-7, Mahomes scrambled to the right and scored from 11-yards out to cap off a 14-play, 86-yard drive. Early in the fourth quarter, Mahomes connected with Travis Kelce for a 37-yard touchdown pass to cap off a 9-play, 65-yard drive.
Kansas City (0-1) returns home next week for a Super Bowl rematch against Philadelphia (1-0).
