England triumphed over Andorra with a 2-0 victory at Villa Park, continuing their smooth journey towards next summer's World Cup. However, Thomas Tuchel's men once again failed to impress.

The Three Lions netted in both halves, with an own goal by Christian Garcia giving them a lead at half-time before Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice - given more freedom with debutant Elliot Anderson holding the midfield - scored with a header in the second half.

Opportunities came and went for the hosts in the second half, but it was largely another frustrating watch. Yes, the job was done and there are now four wins from four in World Cup qualifying.

But they'll need to significantly up their game on Tuesday night against Serbia, which will undoubtedly be a much tougher test. Here are the player ratings from Villa Park....

England (4-3-3), reports [the Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/england-player-ratings-vs-andorra-35861899).

Jordan Pickford 6.

Mostly a spectator, but he was kept busy with a couple of dubious back passes.

Reece James 7.

Clearly Tuchel's first choice right back and his cross for Rice demonstrated why.

Marc Guehi 6.

Needed a day off after his turbulent week. Was able to relax.

Dan Burn 6.

Appeared very comfortable and is clearly one of Tuchel's favourites. Solid performance.

Myles Lewis-Skelly 6.

Has not been starting for Arsenal and did not really seize his opportunity.

Elliot Anderson 8 MOTM.

England's best player. A highly impressive debut in a good audition for the No.6 role.

Declan Rice 7.

Scored with a well-taken header to lift the mood in the second half.

Eberechi Eze 6.

A somewhat sluggish performance, with a few missed opportunities. A rather lacklustre display.

Noni Madueke 7.

Impressive on the right flank. He's certainly staking his claim for a World Cup spot.

Marcus Rashford 6.

Started strong but seemed to lose momentum. Squandered a significant opportunity in the second half.

Harry Kane 6.

He must have been hoping to net a few goals - but ended up largely thwarted.
