Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is in talks to renew his contract.
Pickford’s deal expires in 2027, and the Everton board want him to sign a new one, which will keep him at the club for the remainder of his career.
That could see the Toffees’ number one make history, as he could surpass Seamus Coleman’s Premier League appearance record for the club.
Coleman has made 370 top-flight appearances, and Pickford is currently on 296, so there’s a genuine possibility.
As well as Pickford, David Moyes and his chiefs must offer another first-teamer a new contract before it expires next summer.

Everton must offer Idrissa Gana Gueye a new contract
Everton have seven first-teamers out of contract next summer, including the likes of James Tarkowski, James Garner and Vitaliy Mykolenko.
The club are planning to start talks with the aforementioned trio, but there’s been no mention of Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Gueye is set to become a free agent in 2026, so the Toffees should be offering him a renewal after a stellar start to the season.
The veteran midfielder, who turns 36 later this month, signed a one-year contract in the summer with Moyes keen to retain his experience around the group ahead of the move to the Hill Dickinson.
Given his age, clearly there is a reluctance to tie him down for a couple of years, however, his performances haven’t shown any sign of decline.
Idrissa Gana Gueye says Everton is part of ‘who I am’
After signing his contract in the summer, Gueye admitted that Everton is part of ‘who I am’ and explained how motivated he is.
“Everyone knows what Everton means to me and my family,” the Senegal international said.
“After six seasons, this club is more than just where I play football, it’s a part of who I am. I’m proud to be starting my seventh year as a Blue.
“Last season was strong for me personally. I feel fresh, focused, and more motivated than ever. With our incredible new stadium and a real sense of momentum around the club, this season feels like a turning point—an opportunity to build something meaningful and lasting.”
Gueye is regarded as Everton’s ‘best player’ by some and this season he’s certainly very close to that level.
