The Saints have a new offensive-minded coach in Kellen Moore and are moving on at the quarterback position after veteran Derek Carr’s summer retirement, with second-year signal caller Spencer Rattler the favorite to take over those duties. New Orleans ranked among the worst offenses in the NFL and finished the ‘24 season with a 5-12 record. The Saints closed the campaign with four straight losses, all with Rattler under center, and they went 0-6 in the six games Rattler started. The New Orleans defense is also looking for improvement after allowing the third-most yards (379.9 ypg) and second-most rushing yards (141.4 ypg) last season.

The Cardinals made a four-game jump in the win column last season with a full, healthy campaign from quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for 3,851 yards with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions and had the second-most rushing yards (572) and touchdowns (5) on the team. Even so, the Cardinals went into a Week 11 bye with a 6-4 record and on a run of four straight wins. They came out the other side losing five of their next six games to fall out of playoff contention. Murray leads an offense that also boasts versatile tight end Trey McBride and talented wideout Marvin Harrison Jr., who totaled 885 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

The Saints and Cardinals are set for a 1 p.m. ET start on CBS. Live streams are available from DirecTV (free trial) and FuboTV (low intro rate).

The game will also stream on Paramount+.
