Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray drew some serious criticism from fans before he even threw his first pass of the 2025 season.
Murray was wearing quite the outfit when he arrived at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., for the Cardinals’ Week 1 game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The former No. 1 overall pick had a pink sweater and jean shorts that almost went down to his ankles.
Both the shorts and sweater had some sort of bedazzled star emblems all over them.

Murray was ruthlessly mocked over the outfit, with many fans commenting on how the shorts made the 5-foot-10 quarterback look even shorter than he is.

Murray is known for wearing eccentric outfits before games, and it has led to him getting the meme treatment in the past. To his credit, he clearly has not let the trolling bother him.
Murray is in his seventh NFL season. The former Oklahoma star threw for 3,851 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season. He also ran for 572 yards and 5 scores.
The Cardinals have been to the playoffs just once since drafting Murray, and that was in 2021. They lost in the Wild Card Round. They are hoping for a much better year from Murray in 2025.
